Christmas Continued

Leaping Lizards, Grandpa George is in town!
Pa George, as I call him, came to visit and to help us celebrate Christmas. And today, we went to Leaping Lizards, my favorite indoor playground.

My favorite spot in Leaping Lizards is the air hockey table. I'm pretty good at it, but I don't really have the rules down. I like scoring in my own goal as much as anything else.

Here I am climbing up one of the tall slides

...and sliding down!

After the slide, I tried to go back to the air hockey table, but someone else was playing with it. I had a short meltdown.

I recovered, though, and found a new friend at the toy corner.

Grandpa George helped me draw on the chalkboard.

Then it was back to the slides.

I say "Tee Haw!" when I ride like a cowboy (Daddy taught me that).

Back at home, I played with my new cardboard house Grandpa gave me for Christmas. I love going in and out of the door and opening and closing the windows. Do you like the paint job? I did it myself.

Before bed I helped Grandpa check his email. I had a great time with Grandpa and I'll miss him when he drives back home tomorrow!

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas, everyone!!
Guess what happened last night? Santa came!

When I woke up this morning, I was so surprised at all the cool stuff Santa brought.
Here's a (longish!) video from this morning.

Thank you to everybody else who sent presents. Santa isn't the only one who knows how to make a kid happy! Here I am working on my very own name puzzle from Great-Grandma Maggie.

And here I am jamming on some of my new instruments from Uncle B and Aunt Elissha.

The xylophone not only sounds great, but it's got great colors, too. I'll name them all for you (and then jam out to Jingle Bells):

Daddy gave Mommy an awesome new camera for Christmas, so pictures of me should start getting even more awesome (after she gets a lesson from Grandpa George, perhaps). Here's a picture with the new camera of me reading a new book.

After presents, Mommy made a scrumptious lamb dinner. I wasn't much interested in eating since I had so many new things to play with, but Daddy had seconds.

We actually had a bit of a white Christmas- it started snowing!

Here's the deck with a bit of a dusting. It kept snowing after I went to bed, so there might be a lot more snow out there when I wake up.

I love all my presents; I spent most of the day running around from one toy to another. The Buzz Lightyear phone was a big hit.

And so were all the Little People toys. I especially like putting the people in the elevator and making them go up and down.

Love my new binoculars! Thanks, Ian and Roxie!

So Merry Christmas, everyone! Hope you had as much fun as I did!

'Twas the Night Before Christmas

When all through the house

Not a creature was stirring,

Not even a mouse;

The stockings were hung by the chimney with care,

In hopes that St. Nicholas soon would be there...

Counting Down...

Hey everyone!

I've been keeping busy getting ready for Christmas. My favorite pre-Christmas activity has been watching "A Charlie Brown Christmas." I like to watch it about once a day. While I watch it, I like to narrate each important part. For example, I say "snow," "Charlie Brown hat," "blanket," "sing."

I even have a book of "A Charlie Brown Christmas" where you push buttons and it plays the songs and has the characters talking. I loved that book so much I slept with it in my bed and early in the morning you could hear sounds of "Good Grief!" coming from my room. Unfortunately, I pushed the buttons so much, I wore the book out already.

This past weekend, Grandpa Steve came to visit. We did a lot of tickling and building with blocks. Here he is showing me some Charlie Brown videos on his computer.

My other favorite Christmas special is "How the Grinch Stole Christmas." I call it "The Other Cat in the Hat" because to me, anything by Dr. Seuss is the Cat in the Hat, but this is not the actual Cat in the Hat, so it's the Other Cat in the Hat. Makes perfect sense to me.

I saw Santa at a party a couple of weeks ago, but things didn't go so well. A friend took a picture of our meeting and I'm working on getting that for you guys. I do like the idea of Santa, but seeing the big guy up close makes me pretty nervous.

My buddy Owen and I went to the mall this week. Owen went right up and sat with Santa, but I'm a little bit older and wiser. I kept my distance. A little bit later, I actually asked to go back and talk to Santa, but I only got as close as the steps up to his sleigh before I changed my mind and laid down on the floor. He seems like a nice enough guy, but I think there's something fishy about him.

The choo-choo train around the mall was much more fun for me. Here we are riding it. We liked to say "All Aboard!" and of course, "Choo Choo!"

When we got home, I was a little upset that I didn't talk to Santa, so I wrote him a letter.

We've been singing some Christmas songs around here. I like "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer" and "Jingle Bells."  Here are Daddy and I singing "Jingle Bells." I have my part down pretty well, I think.

Getting in the Holiday Spirit

Hi everyone!
I've been pretty busy lately getting into the Christmas spirit, but our computer's been on the fritz so I haven't been able to blog. We got it back today, so I'll try and catch you up-
We had a neighborhood holiday party-

Grandma Pam came to visit- here we are making cookies together

We picked out a Christmas tree-

And decorated it.

Here's a picture I took of the finished tree.

Here's a picture Mommy took-

Daddy and Mommy went out to a fancy party while I stayed with Grandma-

Grandma and I had a lot of fun together during her week here, but she had to get on the airplane and go back to her house today.

This weekend, Grandpa Steve is coming to visit. And pretty soon, Santa is coming!
Ho! Ho! Ho!

P.S. I also figured out how to take pictures of myself!

Gobble Til you Wobble!

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
We had a great trip to see Grandpa George in Hamilton. We had Thanksgiving dinner at Uncle Brian's fiancée's family's house. The Stevenses were really nice and I had fun exploring a new house that had tons of glass and antiques. Mommy and Daddy were pretty busy keeping me occupied, so they didn't take any pictures of Thanksgiving.

The next day, we visited with Mommy's friends the Shannons. I helped Daddy do a puzzle. And by "help," I mean "walked, jumped, and stomped on it, but finally left him alone long enough to let him do it."

Mostly, I played with my buddy Ian. We ran around a lot.

And I got in a little tickle time with Ms. Keri.

Back at Grandpa's house (or "Pa's House" as I call it), we had a birthday dinner for Mommy. Uncle Brian and Susan came over to help celebrate.

Before dinner, I fed Grandpa's fish and spent a lot of time getting as close as possible to the fish pond without falling in.

I thought Uncle Brian had a pretty good seat up here.

Susan made sure I didn't fall in the water.

We tried really, really hard to get a picture of the three of us. Seriously, we tried a ton. This is the best one we got. Mommy and Daddy just wouldn't stay still.

On Saturday, we packed up and started our trip home. We stopped in Bath County at Great-Uncle Paul's house (or "Pooh's House", as I called it). Jason was nice enough to bring out some of his old toys for me to play with. I liked dumping out the Legos. They kept me busy for a long time.

Uncle Paul brought out a tin from his shed which he thought contained his childhood blocks. When he opened it, though, he was disappointed to find Daddy's old Construx toys. Daddy was thrilled and brought them home with us to Atlanta. We have plans to build a pretty awesome spaceship.

On Sunday, after playing around in the cold and visiting with Paul and Kim's dog, cats, and horses, we got back in the car and drove home (or "back Quinn's House" as I repeatedly reminded Mommy and Daddy in the car). Traffic was a little bad, but we got back safe and sound without any problems. We had a great time visiting with everybody!
